About Lonnie Walker IV
Lonnie Walker IV is a professional basketball player, philanthropist, and proud native of Reading, Pennsylvania. A standout athlete at Reading Senior High School, Lonnie earned McDonald’s All-American honors and was named Mr. Pennsylvania Basketball after leading his school to its first state championship in program history.
He continued his basketball journey at the University of Miami, where he was named to the ACC All-Freshman team before being selected 18th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs. Throughout his professional career, Lonnie has played for the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, and internationally for Žalgiris Kaunas and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Beyond his accomplishments on the court, Lonnie is deeply committed to giving back to the communities that helped shape him. Through the Lonnie Walker IV Foundation, he supports youth development, education, community outreach, and mentorship programs designed to inspire and empower the next generation. His mission is simple: use his platform to create opportunities, uplift others, and leave a lasting impact both on and off the court.
About the Foundation
Founded in 2019, the LWIV Foundation quickly made an impact by hosting its first free basketball camp for nearly 250 youth in Reading, PA.
The overwhelming support and positive feedback from participants, families, and the community continue to inspire the Foundation’s commitment to giving back.
